This morning we visited the Global BC studios where CCEM Director Christine Trefanenko sat down with anchor Sonia Sunger to discuss how businesses can prepare for emergencies such as the extended series of arctic weather currently being encountered in the Lower Mainland.
Christine talked with Sonia about how essential personal preparedness and business continuity planning is in supporting cities in their response to major crises.
Throughout this revealing interview, Christine reinforced the importance of being prepared to deal with the consequences of incidents, whether they are snow storms, earthquakes or a building fire. Christine also addressed supply chain challenges, as demonstrated by the current limitation in road salt because of the weather across Canada.
